 Conferences The last two conferences were a wonderful experience for my group and I. We got to meet Dr.Temple Grandin and Dr. Jed Baker, two very important people in the Autism field. Dr. Grandin who has Autism gave us a lot of perspective on how children with Autism feel and learn. Dr. Baker who works with many children with Autism and has written many books on the subject, showed us as parents how to best approach certain situations. We will be attending more educational conferences in the future, which will be posted for your knowledge.  Our Organization generally tries to attend conferences to become more aware and better educated about our children. Conferences are very informative and they are great for networking with other parents, therapists, doctors. They can be very costly, so I try to get funding or discounted tickets for my members.
